Staff & Teacher Appreciation
May 5th – 9th
Let’s show our teachers and staff an ocean of gratitude this upcoming appreciation week. If we all bring a little (or a drop) there will be a lot. If you are able please bring items to the office and/or staff lounge. Appreciation notes students can take directly to staff. If you would like to know your favorite staff / teacher’s favorite items please email powellbutteelementaryptc@gmail.com.

Powell Butte Elementary Fun Run!
May 9th
We need Fun Run volunteers for the Fun Run on May 9th from 8:30am to 3:00pm. We would love to have two shifts of volunteers, the first shift from 8:30am-11:30am (Preschool, 2nd, 3rd and 5th Grade) and the second shift from 12:10am-3:00pm (DLC, Kindergarten, 1st and 4th Grade). Volunteers support with, hole punching lap cards, filling dixie cups with water, handing out otter pops, setting up, cleaning up, generally enjoying the day and cheering on your students! If you are only able to volunteer for a more limited timeframe, that is ok please reach out to us, we would love to have you! To volunteer during the fun run and to cheer your students on you will need to have completed a background check. Whole School Goal: $20,000
Fun Run Pledge Sheets are coming home today, and emails for online pledges went out this morning. Every year we appreciate your support, with the funds we raised last year we were able to support field trips, purchase gym equipment and fulfill teacher and staff requests for student learning and enrichment. We hope to have similar success with fundraising this year. This year’s achievement prizes are:
Top Earners
T-Shirt: Minimum of $25 Collected Donations
Grand Prize: $100 Visa Gift Card
2nd Place Prize: $50 Visa Gift Card
3rd Place Prize: $25 Visa Gift Card
Top Runners: Top girl and boy runners in each grade will each earn a fun run T-Shirt
Top Earning Class: Top earning class = popcorn or snow cone party
Top Participating Class: Class with the highest percentage of students collecting pledges = popcorn or snow cone party
Whole School Goal: $20,000
If Reach $5,000 We’ll Get a Snow Cone Machine!
If Reach $10,000 We’ll Duct Tape Mr. Austin to the Wall!
If Reach $15,000 We’ll Get Additional Field Day & Recess Games
If Reach $20,000 Everyone Get’s a T-Shirt and additional Gym & Recess Equipment
